Classic family fun in Templeton for 4th of July

Locals and Visitors to Enjoy Pancake Breakfast, Parade and Park Festivities

TEMPLETON - Locals and Visitors are invited to enjoy an Old
Fashioned 4th of July celebration in Templeton this year in and around the
Templeton Park. The day kicks off with the famous Templeton Fire Department
pancake breakfast, served from 7:00AM to 10:00AM at the Templeton Fire Station
located at 206 5th Street. At 10:00AM, the Independence Day Parade, sponsored
by the local Kiwanis Club, makes its way down Main Street and back up Crocker
Street from 8th to 1st streets. Immediately following the parade and lasting until
3:00PM, the celebration continues in Templeton Park, including fun games for
children, food & beverage vendors, cold beer, bounce houses, arts & craft vendors
and live music by The Turkey Buzzards. The “Celebration in the Park” is produced
by Templeton Chamber of Commerce.
This year’s parade theme is “Celebrating Small Town America”. Parade and Park
Vendor applications are available now at the Templeton Chamber of Commerce
(321 S. Main / 434-1789) and can also be downloaded at
www.templetonchamber.com under the Events link. Tickets for the pancake
breakfast can be purchased at the Templeton Firehouse, the Templeton
Community Services District Office or from any Templeton Firefighter. Prepurchase
is suggested as it usually sells out.
